How do sub-accounts pay for domain names and services?

Reseller sub-accounts pay for purchases from an account balance. Retail sub-accounts pay for each transaction from the credit card they have on file in the account.

What control do I have over sub-accounts?

You can perform almost any action in a retail sub-account.

In reseller sub-accounts, there are actions you can perform only if you log in to the subaccount directly. You can’t perform actions such as purchases and viewing credit card information if you log in from the parent account.

Where can I go to see the domain names in my sub-accounts?

Log in and click "My Account". In the "Reseller Quick Links" tab, click "Registered Sub-account Domains".

Can I move a domain name back and forth between sub-accounts and my main account?

Yes. We use the word "push" to describe the process of moving a domain name from one account to another.

You can push a domain from any account you log into directly, into any other account for which you know the login ID. For a retail sub-account, you can also link from your parent account into the sub-account and push domains.

To push a domain, log in and click "My Account". In the "Domain Tools" section, open the "More" menu and click "Push A Domain". List "Domains to Push", type the login ID to push to, select whether to push the domain’s current contact information with it, and click "Push Domains".

How do I convert a retail sub-account to reseller status?

To convert a retail sub-account to reseller status, log in and click "My Account". In the "Reseller Quick Links" tab, click "Manage My Customers". Click the name of the retail account you want to convert. In the "Confirm Upgrade" text box, type the characters in the image, and then click "Convert to Reseller".

Can I set the pricing for domain names, and other products and services?

How do I set the pricing that I charge my customers?

We provide you several levels of control over the pricing you offer your customers. You can set pricing that applies to all customers, an individual sub-account, or a list of sub-accounts.

You’ll probably find it easiest to set default prices first, then customize individual sub-accounts using your default prices as a baseline.

To set prices that apply to all customers by default, log in and click "My Account". In the "Reseller Quick Links" tab click "Modify Default Pricing". Set prices as you wish and then click "Save Changes".

To set pricing for a single sub-account, log in and click "My Account". In the "Reseller Quick Links" tab click "Manage My Customers". Click the name of the sub-account for which you want to set prices. In the tab for this sub-account, click a pricing link, set prices, and click "Save changes".

To set pricing for a list of sub-accounts, log in and click "My Account". In the "Reseller Quick Links" tab, click "Bulk Pricing Editor". Complete the form and click "Submit Update".

How can I update pricing for multiple sub-accounts at once?

We have provided you with a Default Pricing Editor and Bulk Pricing Update Tool for updating the pricing of multiple sub-accounts at once. One thing to keep in mind is that unless you have specifically set the pricing for a sub-account, their pricing will be pulled from the default pricing editor.
